FAQ

What is ParcorPlus?

ParcorPlus helps riders run structured road/gravel-style events with route-based timing, social participation, and clear event controls.

How do I create an event quickly?

  1. Upload route GPX.
  2. Choose timing mode.
  3. Set Who can join.
  4. Set entries close and start time.
  5. Share the event link.

Guide: Creating an event

Why can’t someone RSVP?

Most common reasons:

  • they are not logged in
  • entries are closed
  • access setting blocks them (not follower/member, invite-only, etc.)
  • club event is set to members-only and non-member invites are off

Guide: Who can join, discovery, and visibility

That is expected in read-only preview mode.

Some events can be previewed before login (public listed events or valid invite links), but RSVP and upload actions require login and normal permission checks.

Why can’t someone upload an activity?

Uploads/linking are only allowed while the event is active.

If status is open, closed, published, cancelled, or archived, uploads are blocked.

Guide: Event troubleshooting

What is the difference between “open entries” and “publish results”?

  • Open entries: riders can join.
  • Publish results: standings are finalized.

They are separate actions.

What does cancelled vs archived mean?

  • Cancelled: event is stopped; no new participation/uploads.
  • Archived: cleanup/read-only state for old or retired events.

Why is an event not showing in lists/search?

Usually discovery settings:

  • event may be unlisted
  • visibility may be follower/member scoped
  • archived events are hidden from normal discovery

Not always. Invite links can allow read-only preview, and may allow joining after login depending on event settings.

For club events, non-member joining depends on whether Allow invite link to admit non-members is enabled.

Which timing mode should I use first?

If you’re new:

  • use Group Ride for operational simplicity
  • or Timed Sectors for controlled competition

Guide: Timing modes

How many sectors should I add?

This only applies to Timed Sectors mode. Start with 1–3 meaningful sectors. Too many sectors increases confusion and operational risk.

Any safety rule of thumb?

Do not place segment finishes where riders must brake hard, turn blind, or interact with complex traffic immediately after crossing.
